California High School Basketball - Balboa can't hold off El Cerrito

The El Cerrito Gauchos basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Balboa Buccaneers to 53 in the Gauchos non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Gauchos now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Concord for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 21. El Cerrito will battle a Minutemen team coming off a 77-33 non-league loss to Acalanes (Lafayette, CA). The Minutemen record now stands at 2-7.

The Buccaneers (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against The Academy - San Francisco (San Francisco, CA). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, The Academy - San Francisco was nudged by South San Francisco (South San Francisco, CA), 72-25, in a non-league contest.
