The Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL) basketball nipped the host Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL), 53-51 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Eagles (9-4) will now prepare for their test against St. Patrick (Chicago, IL). The Shamrocks go into the non-league test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, St. Patrick got by Marist (Chicago, IL), 45-41, in a league test.

The Trojans now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Grayslake Central for a non-league test on Thursday, December 22. Cary-Grove will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 45-27 league win over Antioch (Antioch, IL). The Rams record now stands at 8-1.
