Central Wildcats (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA), 71-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Capitol (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-7.

Next up, the Hornets play the Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 23. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Griffins go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 72-62 non-league loss to Broadmoor (Baton Rouge, LA).
