Danville Ironmen (Danville, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA), 63-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Danville upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Ironmen travel to Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, PA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Southern Columbia Area won 57-40 in their recent non-league bout against Wyoming Seminary College Prep (Kingston, PA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Northwest Area Rangers (Shickshinny, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Hughesville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Rangers come into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 52-38 league win over Sullivan County (Laporte, PA).
