The Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals (Doniphan, NE) basketball knocked off the visiting Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE), 54-37 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Cardinals (8-0) will now prepare for their test against Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE). The Swedes go into the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Gothenburg went down by Amherst (Amherst, NE), 71-54, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Howells-Dodge for a non-league test on Thursday, December 29. Sandy Creek will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 51-34 non-league win over Clarkson/Leigh (Clarkson, NE). The Jaguars record now stands at 5-3.
