United Longhorns (Laredo, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting East Central Hornets (San Antonio, TX), 64-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, United upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Judson (Converse, TX) to play the Rockets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 11-7.

Next up, the Hornets play the Eagle Pass Eagles (Eagle Pass, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. East Central will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 12-13 record after their 45-30 non-league loss to South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX).
