William Allen Canaries (Allentown, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Easton Area Rovers (Easton, PA), 54-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, William Allen upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Canaries travel to Freedom (Bethlehem, PA) to play the Patriots in a Lehigh Valley bout on Thursday, December 22. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 4-3. Freedom lost 66-65 in their recent league bout against Emmaus (Emmaus, PA)

Next up, the Rovers play the Bangor Slaters (Bangor, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Easton Area will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Slaters come into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 45-40 league loss to Pen Argyl (Pen Argyl, PA).
