Highland Springs Springers (Highland Springs, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Thomas Jefferson Vikings (Richmond, VA), 64-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Highland Springs upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Springers host Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, December 19. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Brunswick won 69-58 in their recent league bout against Greensville County (Emporia, VA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Petersburg Crimson Wave (Petersburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Crimson Wave come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 51-30 league win over Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA).
