Incarnate Word Academy Angels (Corpus Christi, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX), 47-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Incarnate Word Academy upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Angels travel to Port Aransas (Port Aransas, TX) to play the Marlins in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Marlins come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Port Aransas lost 54-44 in their recent non-league bout against Alice (Alice, TX)

Next up, the Greyhounds play the WINGS Homeschool Athletics War Eagles (Corpus Christi, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 21. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record.
