The Pueblo County Hornets (Pueblo, CO) basketball knocked off the visiting La Junta Tigers (La Junta, CO), 61-48 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Hornets (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Fountain-Fort Carson (Fountain, CO). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 8-0 record. In their last test, Fountain-Fort Carson notched a victory over Aquinas (San Bernardino, CA), 57-55, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they travel to Manitou Springs for a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks test on Wednesday, January 4. La Junta will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 62-52 non-league win over Bishop Machebeuf (Denver, CO). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-2.
