The Lincoln Cougars basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Notre Dame Fighting Irish to 33 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ripley for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 22. Lincoln will battle a Vikings team coming off a 40-35 non-league win over Marietta (Marietta, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 4-0.

The Fighting Irish (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty (Clarksburg, WV). The Mountaineers enter the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Liberty was routed by Doddridge County (West Union, WV), 63-53, in a non-league contest.
