The Spruce Mountain Phoenix basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Monmouth Academy Mustangs to 40 in the Phoenix non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Phoenix now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mountain Valley for a B South contest on Friday, December 23. Spruce Mountain will meet a Falcons team coming off a 53-45 league loss to Lake Region (Naples, ME). The Falcons record now stands at 0-1.

The Mustangs (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Madison (Madison, ME). The Bulldogs enter the C South contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Madison was outscored by Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME), 56-55, in a league contest.
