The Newton Tigers topped the visiting Nanih Waiya Warriors basketball team by a final score of 63-45 in Tuesday's league game.
In their next game, the Tigers face the Leake County Gators (Walnut Grove, MS) in a non-league game, on Thursday, December 22. Newton will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Gators enter the game with a 8-4 record after their 55-54 non-league win over Leake Central (Carthage, MS).
