Open Door Christian Patriots (Elyria, OH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Northwestern Huskies (West Salem, OH), 78-72 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Open Door Christian upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Central Christian (Kidron, OH) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Huskies play the Chippewa Chipps (Doylestown, OH) in a Wayne County bout, on Friday, December 30. Northwestern will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record.
