Springport Spartans (Springport, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Waldron Spartans (Waldron, MI), 37-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Springport upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Spartans host Hillsdale (Hillsdale, MI) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 1-3.

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Camden-Frontier Redskins (Camden, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Waldron will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Redskins go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 54-40 non-league loss to Hilltop (West Unity, OH).
