In Tuesday's non-league outing, the El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA) basketball squad beat the visiting Rim of the World Fighting Scots (Lake Arrowhead, CA), by a count of 45-27.

The Vanguards (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against Foothill (Santa Ana, CA). The Knights go into the Crestview outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Foothill was topped by El Dorado (Placentia, CA), 63-35, in a non-league outing.

The Fighting Scots now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bloomington for a San Andreas outing on Wednesday, January 4. Rim of the World will clash with a Bruins squad coming off a 43-34 non-league win over Rubidoux (Jurupa Valley, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 6-10.
