Whitehall Zephyrs (Whitehall, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Louis E. Dieruff Huskies (Allentown, PA), 43-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Whitehall upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Zephyrs travel to William Allen (Allentown, PA) to clash with the Canaries in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Canaries go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Nativity BVM Green Wave (Pottsville, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Louis E. Dieruff will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Green Wave go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 34-10 non-league win over Octorara Area (Atglen, PA).
