The Vance County Vipers basketball team (Henderson, NC), was nudged 50-49 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC)

The Cougars now possess a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Knightdale for a non-league battle on Friday, January 6. Wake Forest will confront a Knights team coming off a 52-46 non-league win over East Wake (Wendell, NC). The Knights record now stands at 9-2.
