Georgia High School Basketball - South Aiken trounced by Burke County

December 20, 2023: Waynesboro, GA 30830

The Burke County Bears routed the visiting South Aiken Thoroughbreds basketball team by a final score of 72-40 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Bears face the Richmond Hill Wildcats (Richmond Hill, GA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, December 21. Burke County will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the game with a 1-11 record after their 93-62 non-league loss to Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, UT).

With the defeat, South Aiken moves to 1-11 on the year. The Thoroughbreds travel to Greenbrier (Evans, GA) to face the Wolfpack in a non-league game on Thursday, December 21. The Wolfpack enter the game with a record of 5-6. Greenbrier won 71-64 in their recent non-league game against Groves (Garden City, GA)
