George Rogers Clark Cardinals (Winchester, KY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY), 60-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, George Rogers Clark upgrades its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Lincoln County (Stanford, KY) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 2-5. Lincoln County lost 74-63 in their recent non-league bout against Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA)

Next up, the Generals play the Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Engineers come into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 77-57 non-league win over Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY).
