The Poly Engineers basketball team (Baltimore, MD), was nudged 70-65 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD)

The Lightning now possess a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Joppatowne for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 28.

The Engineers (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Overlea (Baltimore, MD). The Falcons come into the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Overlea edged Wilde Lake (Columbia, MD), 74-54, in a non-league battle.
