North Carolina High School Basketball - Pinecrest nips Lumberton

December 20, 2023: Lumberton, NC 28358

Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC), 2-0 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pinecrest upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 22. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 5-2. St. Pauls won 46-42 in their recent non-league bout against Dillon (Dillon, SC)

Next up, the Pirates play the West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Lumberton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 1-2 record after their 81-15 non-league win over Union (Rose Hill, NC).
