Murphysboro Red Devils (Murphysboro, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Trico Pioneers (Campbell Hill, IL), 54-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Murphysboro upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Red Devils host DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, December 22. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 2-5. DuQuoin won 48-36 in their recent league bout against Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Pinckneyville Panthers (Pinckneyville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Trico will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 63-47 league win over Anna-Jonesboro (Anna, IL).
