Kentucky High School Basketball - Newport topples Washington County

In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Newport Wildcats (Newport, KY) basketball squad beat the visiting Washington County Commanders (Springfield, KY), by a count of 64-55.

The Wildcats (7-1) will now prepare for their outing against Great Crossing (Georgetown, KY). The go into the non-league outing with a 7-0 record. In their last outing, Great Crossing defeated North Oldham (Goshen, KY), 64-61, in a non-league outing.

The Commanders now hold a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Butler for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 23.
