Trumbull Eagles (Trumbull, CT) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Amity Regional Spartans (Woodbridge, CT), 47-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Trumbull upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to New Canaan (New Canaan, CT) to play the Rams in a Fairfield County bout on Friday, December 22. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 3-1. New Canaan won 31-16 in their recent league bout against Darien (Darien, CT)

Next up, the Spartans play the Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 23. Amity Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 62-37 non-league loss to Foran (Milford, CT).
