Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Sparkman Senators (Harvest, AL), 49-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Paul VI upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Winter Haven (Winter Haven, FL) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 7-2. Winter Haven won 66-12 in their recent non-league bout against Socastee (Myrtle Beach, SC)

Next up, the Senators play the Greenville Red Raiders (Greenville, SC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Sparkman will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 42-36 non-league loss to Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC).
