The Seventy-First Falcons topped the host Pender Patriots basketball team by a final score of 55-42 in Wednesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Falcons face the Westover Wolverines (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league game, on Thursday, December 21. Seventy-First will attempt to move on its 3-6 season record. The Wolverines enter the game with a 5-2 record after their 62-58 non-league loss to Richmond (Rockingham, NC).
With the defeat, Pender moves to 1-5 on the year. The Patriots travel to South Columbus (Tabor City, NC) to face the Stallions in a 1A/2A Waccamaw game on Wednesday, January 3.
