Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Alcovy Tigers (Covington, GA), 71-53 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Pickens advances its record to 9-0 on the year. The Dragons travel to Seckinger (Buford, GA) to face the Jaguars in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Jaguars enter the match with a record of 7-2. Seckinger won 71-51 in their recent non-league match against Mountain View (Lawrenceville, GA)

The Tigers now own a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount Pisgah Christian for a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. Alcovy will face a Patriots squad coming off a 67-30 league loss to Whitefield Academy (Mableton, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 0-8.
