Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 52-44 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Alleghany advances its record to 4-5 on the year. The Trojans travel to Forbush (East Bend, NC) to face the Falcons in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 0-9. Forbush lost 62-36 in their recent non-league match against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC)

The Maroon Tide now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Giles for a Mountain Empire match on Friday, January 3.
