The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) and the visiting Center Cougars (Antelope, CA), observed Nevada Union's basketball team overwhelm Center by a score of 64-43.
The Miners (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Enterprise (Redding, CA). The Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Enterprise trounced Bear River (Grass Valley, CA), 70-49, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Lincoln Fighting Zebras (Lincoln, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 21. Center will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Fighting Zebras come into the test with a 6-3 record after their 73-52 non-league win over Rio Linda (Rio Linda, CA).
