The Middle Creek Mustangs basketball squad (Apex, NC), was nudged 53-49 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Cleveland Rams (Clayton, NC)
With the victory, Cleveland advances its record to 7-1 on the year. The Rams travel to Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC) to meet the Pirates in a 4A Greater Neuse River battle on Friday, January 3. The Pirates enter the battle with a record of 0-9.
The Mustangs now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Harnett for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 26. Middle Creek will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 54-41 non-league loss to Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-8.
