In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Danvers Falcons basketball team scored a close 58-51 triumph over the Winthrop Vikings.

The Falcons (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Prospect Hill Academy (Cambridge, MA). The go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Prospect Hill Academy nipped Excel Academy Charter (East Boston, MA), 54-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings confront the Stoneham Spartans (Stoneham, MA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 23. Winthrop will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record.
