In Friday's non-league test, the Gehlen Catholic Jays (Le Mars, IA) basketball squad trounced the visiting George-Little Rock Mustangs (George, IA), by a score of 66-24.

Next, the Jays encounter the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals (Marcus, IA) in a War Eagle test, on Friday, January 3. Gehlen Catholic will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Royals come into the test with a 6-1 record after their 64-46 league win over West Sioux (Hawarden, IA).

The Mustangs (0-7) will now prepare for their test against Boyden-Hull (Hull, IA). The Comets come into the Siouxland test with a 4-3 record.
