Mississippi High School Basketball - Murphy holds off Greene County

December 20, 2024: Leakesville, MS 39451

In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Murphy Panthers basketball team scored a close 60-56 triumph over the Greene County Wildcats.

The Panthers (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Falcons go into the non-league contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Central was tipped by Scottsboro (Scottsboro, AL), 53-29, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Presbyterian Christian Bobcats (Hattiesburg, MS) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 21. Greene County will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Bobcats go into the contest with a 15-2 record after their 59-38 non-league win over Richton (Richton, MS).
