California High School Basketball - Monta Vista nudges Mills

Spectators at Friday's non-league bout between the Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) and the host Mills Vikings (Millbrae, CA), saw Monta Vista's basketball team nip Mills by a tally of 53-49.

The Matadors now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to MacDonald for a Santa Clara Valley - El Camino bout on Saturday, January 4. Monta Vista will play a Condor team coming off a 74-20 non-league win over Luis Valdez Leadership Academy (San Jose, CA). The Condor record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Mills falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Marin Catholic (Kentfield, CA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 26. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Marin Catholic lost 40-39 in their recent non-league bout against Urban (San Francisco, CA)
