California High School Basketball - Montgomery thwarts Sierra Vista

December 20, 2024: San Diego, CA 92154

Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Montgomery Aztecs (San Diego, CA) and the visiting Sierra Vista Mountain Lions (Las Vegas, NV), witnessed Montgomery's basketball squad run past Sierra Vista by a count of 49-41.

With the victory, Montgomery advances its record to 9-0 on the year. The Aztecs travel to Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ) to meet the Jaguars in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 21. The Jaguars enter the battle with a record of 6-2. Boulder Creek won 81-62 in their recent non-league battle against Liberty (Henderson, NV)

The Mountain Lions now own a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clayton Valley Charter for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 26. Sierra Vista will battle a Ugly Eagles team coming off a 49-47 non-league loss to Lincoln (Stockton, CA). The Ugly Eagles record now stands at 6-3.
