The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Moundridge Wildcats (Moundridge, KS) and the host Sedgwick Cardinals (Sedgwick, KS), observed Moundridge's basketball team overwhelm Sedgwick by a margin of 72-26.

The Wildcats (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Bennington (Bennington, KS). The Bulldogs come into the Heart of America challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Bennington was trounced by Remington (Whitewater, KS), 47-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Berean Academy Warriors (Elbing, KS) in a Heart of America challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Sedgwick will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 51-38 league loss to Ell-Saline (Brookville, KS).
