The North Greene Spartans basketball team scored 42 points and limited the visiting Pittsfield Saukees to 18 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now have a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Gillespie for a non-league game on Monday, December 23. North Greene will confront a Miners team coming off a 69-50 league loss to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL). The Miners record now stands at 1-8.
With the loss, Pittsfield falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Saukees travel to Mercer County (Aledo, IL) to confront the Golden Eagles in a non-league game on Thursday, December 26. The Golden Eagles go into the game with a record of 6-5.
