The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Sabetha Bluejays (Sabetha, KS) and the visiting Royal Valley Panthers (Hoyt, KS), observed Sabetha's basketball team overcome Royal Valley by a margin of 53-34.

The Bluejays (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Nemaha Central (Seneca, KS). The Thunder come into the Big East challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Nemaha Central defeated Jefferson West (Meriden, KS), 46-22, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Hiawatha Red Hawks (Hiawatha, KS) in a Big East challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Royal Valley will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record.
