North Carolina High School Basketball - Bertie succumbs to Holmes

In Friday's non-league test, the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) basketball squad defeated the host Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC), by a score of 41-23.

Next, the Aces clash with the Washington County Panthers (Plymouth, NC) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 3. Holmes will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 2-2 record after their 46-36 non-league loss to Currituck County (Barco, NC).

The Falcons (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Northampton County (Gaston, NC). The Jaguars come into the non-league test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Northampton County went down by Roanoke Rapids (Roanoke Rapids, NC), 44-31, in a non-league test.
