The Brookland Bearcats basketball team scored 41 points and limited the host Jonesboro Hurricane to 34 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bearcats now have a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to Rivercrest for a non-league game on Friday, December 27. Brookland will confront a Colts team coming off a 55-40 non-league win over Gosnell (Gosnell, AR). The Colts record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Jonesboro falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Hurricane travel to Cabot (Cabot, AR) to confront the Panthers in a 6A Central game on Tuesday, January 7. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 5-9. Cabot lost 62-31 in their recent non-league game against Bentonville West (Centerton, AR)
