Nebraska High School Basketball - Burwell crushes Newman Grove/St. Edward

The Burwell Longhorns (Burwell, NE) basketball crushed the host Newman Grove/St. Edward Panthers (Newman Grove, NE), 77-40 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Longhorns now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Anselmo-Merna for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 21. Burwell will play a Coyotes team coming off a 53-34 non-league win over Mullen (Mullen, NE). The Coyotes record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Newman Grove/St. Edward falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Neligh-Oakdale (Neligh, NE) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Neligh-Oakdale won 44-31 in their recent non-league bout against Boyd County (Spencer, NE)
