Georgia High School Basketball - Wheeler can't hold off Lambert

Lambert Longhorns (Suwanee, GA) fans went home pleased Friday as they observed their basketball team edge the host Wheeler Wildcats (Marietta, GA), 62-59 in a non-league challenge.

The Longhorns (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Pickens (Jasper, GA). The Dragons come into the non-league challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Pickens edged North Hall (Gainesville, GA), 53-46, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Forsyth Central Bulldogs (Cumming, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 21. Wheeler will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 43-26 league loss to Denmark (Alpharetta, GA).
