In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Union County Braves basketball team scored a big 71-39 win over the Larue County Hawks.

The Braves (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Ohio County (Hartford, KY). The Eagles enter the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Ohio County walloped McLean County (Calhoun, KY), 49-34, in a league battle.

The Hawks now own a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Apollo for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 21.
