Georgia High School Basketball - Newton can't hold off Luella

Luella Lions (Luella, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Newton Rams (Covington, GA), 52-45 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Luella upgrades its record to 7-2 on the year. The Lions travel to Martin County (Stuart, FL) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Friday, December 27. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 9-2. Martin County won 69-23 in their recent non-league match against Treasure Coast (Port St. Lucie, FL)

The Rams now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greenwood for a non-league match on Friday, December 27. Newton will face a Eagles squad coming off a 52-48 league loss to Mauldin (Mauldin, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 5-3.
