North Carolina High School Basketball - Porter Ridge overwhelms Mount Pleasant

December 20, 2024: Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124

The Porter Ridge Pirates basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host Mount Pleasant Tigers to 20 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now possess a 10-1 record. They play next when they host Hough for a non-league game on Friday, December 27. Porter Ridge will confront a Huskies team coming off a 55-40 league win over Chambers (Charlotte, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Mount Pleasant falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC) to confront the Knights in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley game on Tuesday, January 7. The Knights go into the game with a record of 1-6. Gray Stone Day lost 33-27 in their recent non-league game against South Davidson (Denton, NC)
