North Carolina High School Basketball - Piedmont Classical nudges Phoenix Academy

December 20, 2024: High Point, NC 27265

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Piedmont Classical Bobcats (Browns Summit, NC) and the host Phoenix Academy Firebirds (High Point, NC), observed Piedmont Classical's basketball team edge Phoenix Academy by a score of 47-42.

The Bobcats (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Carver (Winston-Salem, NC). The Yellowjackets come into the 1A Northwest Piedmont challenge with a 4-3 record.

In their next game, the Firebirds encounter the Sissonville Indians (Charleston, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 27. Phoenix Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 49-38 league loss to Nitro (Nitro, WV).
