The West Mesa Mustangs basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Valley Vikings to 12 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Cibola for a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. West Mesa will confront a Cougars team coming off a 61-14 non-league loss to Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM). The Cougars record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Valley falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Golden Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. The Golden Eagles go into the game with a record of 0-2. Eldorado lost 52-14 in their recent non-league game against Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM)
