In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting River Ridge Royal Knights basketball team scored a big 65-38 triumph over the Tarpon Springs Spongers.
The Royal Knights (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pasco (Dade City, FL). The Pirates go into the contest with a 5-4 record.
In their next game, the Spongers battle the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes (Palm Harbor, FL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Tarpon Springs will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Hurricanes go into the contest with a 1-7 record after their 46-44 non-league loss to Gulf (New Port Richey, FL).
