Palma Chieftains (Salinas, CA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Gonzales Spartans (Gonzales, CA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Palma moves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Chieftains host Greenfield (Greenfield, CA) to clash with the Bruins in a non-league test on Friday, December 27. The Bruins come into the test with a record of 5-1. Greenfield won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Soledad (Soledad, CA)

The Spartans now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host North Monterey County for a PCAL - Cypress test on Monday, January 6. Gonzales will clash with a Condors team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Watsonville (Watsonville, CA). The Condors record now stands at 1-4.
